Presenting information on all aspects of development in the IKN (Capital City of the Archipelago) towards a golden Indonesia.

The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas is preparing an economic development strategy in the IKN and East Kalimantan.

The IKN is expected to be a driver of the Indonesian economy by creating new job opportunities in the infrastructure sector that can absorb up to 500 thousand potential construction workers by 2024. This figure continues to be reviewed, according to the latest developments.

In addition, the government will diversify and develop new economic sectors, as well as implement the principles of sustainable, green, and high-value-added industrial development.

The IKN will encourage the acceleration of national economic growth through six economic clusters and two supporting clusters, including the clean technology industry, integrated pharmaceuticals, sustainable agricultural industry, ecotourism, chemicals and chemical products, and low-carbon energy.

With this strategy, the IKN will develop the regional economy four to five times and create 4.3-4.8 million jobs in East Kalimantan by 2045. The development concept in the IKN will be implemented through the Three City Ecosystem collaboration, namely the IKN, Balikpapan, and Samarinda. /ikn.go.id
